Getting around

Rail: HaShalom station is close to the site (BSRE, Weiss Group).
By car: quick access to the Ayalon Highway and to Highways 4 and 6 (Weiss Group).
Coming: Weiss Group notes that the project will also be close to the Red Line light rail and to high-capacity bus lines (BRT).
On foot: plan TA/3871 provides pedestrian passages and open spaces linking Nahalat Yitzhak Street and Totseret HaAretz Street.
Skyline: the Azrieli Center is visible from the site, as our photo of the bronze-toned entrance frame shows.

Nearby

The project website describes Nahalat Yitzhak as an established, high-quality neighbourhood that draws young and older families as well as people working in the nearby hi-tech offices. Blue Square Real Estate lists these places around the project:

Education: Ben-Zvi High School and a centre for gifted pupils.
Parks and sport: Raisfeld Park, Tsahal (IDF) Park, Stern Park, a sports hall and the Cheinin sports hall. The project site also mentions a neighbourhood country club.
Health: Ichilov medical centre and Beit Savyon medical centre.
Services: Discount Bank and Mizrahi Tefahot Bank branches.
Food and coffee: Cafe Zalik and the Noodles 36 sushi bar, plus a small restaurant on site.

Next door: ToHa

The ToHa office towers, developed by Amot and Gav-Yam, stand next to the site and appear in several of our photos. ToHa is a separate project and is not part of EAST&TLV.

Planning background

The site is covered by detailed plan TA/3871, the “Motorola compound” plan for Totseret HaAretz 5. Its stated aims include a compound combining employment, a care home, housing, retail, public institutions and open spaces, a network of pedestrian passages between Nahalat Yitzhak Street and Totseret HaAretz Street, and a new plot for public buildings and institutions. The plan was published for validity in Reshumot on 26 August 2015 (Tabanow).
